Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to design and implement innovative solutions, incorporating insights gained from interacting with government buyers.
  • Lead the development of our contract database, a critical component of our platform, ensuring it remains the best-in-class resource for public sector buyers.
  • Tackle complex technical challenges, such as entity resolution, AI explainability, and semantic search, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with vector databases, AI-driven data acquisition, and document understanding.
  • Mentor team members, sharing your expertise to enhance our collective skills and drive improvements to our core backend technology, patterns, and best practices.
  • Contribute to shaping our engineering culture and company values, influencing how we work as a team and making a lasting impact on our products and services.
    You'll Thrive If You Have:
    • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in web development, with a strong track record of delivering multiple features and leading small project teams.
    • Proficiency in Python, including fluency with its patterns and best practices, and experience with at least one web framework (we use Django).
    • Experience with React, enabling you to build full-stack features independently and drive frontend development.
    • A history of making impactful decisions, prioritizing pragmatism while maintaining a high quality bar.
    • An ownership mindset, valuing autonomy and seeking out opportunities to solve hard problems and deliver significant results.
    • Strong teamwork skills, with excellent communication abilities and a willingness to learn and grow alongside a high-performing team.
