About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Box Truck Driver to join our team at Hajoca Corporation. As a Box Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a 26-foot box truck to transport goods to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from the truck, including boxes and PVP pipe
  • Drive to customer locations, navigating through various terrain and conditions
  • Unload materials at customer sites, often requiring manual handling or use of pallet jacks/dollies
  • Assist with warehouse work on slower days to advance job skills and contribute to the team's success
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 21 years old if operating a commercial motor vehicle (GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy
  • Must pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work; to be updated at least every two years while employed and performing this job function
  • Experience driving a 26-foot box truck
  • Capable of driving a large truck safely
  • Fast-paced, eager individual with problem-solving skills/critical thinking skills
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles in general, and commercial motor vehicles subject to Department of Transportation regulations in particular
  • Ability to safely operate any delivery vehicle, including commercial motor vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of up to 26,000 pounds
  • Knowledge of safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • Ability to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations
  • Ability to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
  • Ability to learn and operate computer-related systems used in the delivery process
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
