Our Career Opportunities

We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to join the US Acquiring team as a part of the Global Payment Processing unit of Paysafe.

This role is based in our Jacksonville, Florida office and offers a flexible hybrid work environment where you will have a blend of 3 in-office days and 2 remote working days during the work week.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead the best software engineering talent
  2. Develop deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, to create compelling propositions and set the path forward to market-winning products
  3. Define & Review product roadmap and strategy
  4. Develop and manage a change management process that delivers consistent cadence coordination and stakeholder acceptance throughout the enterprise
  5. Champion Agile and DevOps as a means to improve operational process and increase velocity of the team
  6. Leading application development and support vendor identification, evaluation, and selection to staff project delivery roles that meet delivery standards across quality and budgetary return-on-investment goals from both internal and external teams
  7. Directly building, managing and leading engineering teams focused on delivering world-class ecommerce solutions with a focus on driving revenue and differentiation
  8. Empowering the engineering team to deliver consistently with high quality
  9. Owning direct accountability for overall project/program delivery of your development teams and vendors ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects that meet scope, timing, and cost goals
  10. Successfully communicate and work collaboratively with brand teams, officers, external contacts, and internal departments to perform responsibilities
  11. Build, execute, and maintain a customer-centric solutions strategy

Requirements

  1. 12+ years in a similar role within the payments and fintech industry
  2. 7+ years of leadership experience leading direct reports with agile software development
  3. Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field of study
  4. Experience in Payments product delivery is highly desirable
  5. Experience in building cloud-native solutions in Azure/AWS
  6. The technical acumen to help engineers solve problems and design solutions
  7. A track record for leading high-performing engineering teams
  8. Experience helping engineers grow individually and as a team by leading by example, aligning focus, and executing on commitments
  9. Understanding of the Competitive Environment
  10. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines set both internally and externally
  11. Ability to adapt to an entrepreneurial culture with a matrix reporting structure
  12. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
