Job Description:

As a Shift Lead at Walgreens, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store during your shift. This includes opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Open and close the store, including starting up required systems and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
  • Manage cash handling, including completing product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops to the safe.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging with customers and patients, and resolving customer issues.
  • Assist with and coach other team members on tasks such as warehouse and vendor ordering, and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
  • Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes, and ensuring proper signage is displayed at the store.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
Requirements:
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
