About the Role

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities and mental illness in our group homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans to promote positive behavior and outcomes.
  • Provide positive behavioral supports and reinforcement to individuals, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Respond to emergency situations as trained, utilizing Mandt Training principles.
  • Implement Relational Mandt to foster a positive and engaged environment.
  • Implement Technical Mandt when necessary, prioritizing safety.
  • Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing/walking for extended periods.
  • Develop and implement meaningful day schedules and provide continuous active treatment through individualized support plans.
Requirements
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with high behavioral needs.
  • Previous experience in ADL care, toileting, and bathing is preferred.
