Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and functionality of our hotel property and grounds. This includes completing repairs and preventative maintenance on various systems such as plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and HVAC. Additional duties include performing light carpentry, painting, vinyl, and drywall repair, implementing and monitoring programs to ensure a safe facility and work environment, keeping detailed records and reports, providing ongoing training to Maintenance Tech I team members, collaborating with management to recruit for department needs, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous and friendly guest service.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need advanced maintenance knowledge and skills, with the ability to handle all aspects of hotel maintenance. You should also be able to complete partial or full dismantling of equipment to repair or replace defective components and restore functionality. Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and mechanical operations for pool maintenance is also essential. Experience in implementing and monitoring preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe and well-maintained hotel is highly desirable. Additionally, you should have knowledge of building maintenance, including minor electrical repair and plumbing, and the ability to speak, write, and receive direction in English. Troubleshooting and repairing machinery faults using appropriate testing methods is also a key requirement.
