Job Overview

MIG Welder required for a busy manufacturer in Sanford, FL.

The salary range for this position is $19-$22 hourly.

A MIG welder will be responsible for welding carbon steel pipes with fire protection system components in an air-conditioned fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare pipe surfaces to guarantee complete welding penetration and cut holes according to layout specifications.
  • Remove all coupons/turtles from the cut materials to maintain cleanliness and compliance.
  • Ensure each weld overlaps by at least 1⁄2" to meet structural integrity requirements.
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of each weld for completeness, penetration, aesthetics, and flow obstruction; perform necessary repairs.
  • Operate various electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment, including welding tools, power machines, hand tools, grinders, grooving machines, and saws, while using personal protective equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years MIG welding experience/ MIG wiring required.
  • Previous experience welding carbon steel preferred.
  • Able to pass weld proficiency test.
