About the Role

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Sleep Technician to join our team at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, MN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze patient information and history to inform sleep study procedures.
  • Explain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to patients and their families.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment for sleep studies, ensuring proper functioning and making adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor patients' sleep patterns, vital signs, and responses to interventions during sleep studies, making real-time adjustments as necessary.
  • Accurately record and document data following procedural protocols.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, including polysomnographic recorders.
  • Score polysomnographic records to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Perform post-test follow-up to ensure patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification or obtain within 3 months of hire and maintain.
  • Preferred qualifications include completion of polysomnography training program or Associate's Degree in health sciences field with emphasis on polysomnography.
  • Prior experience as a Sleep Technician or in a related healthcare role.
  • RSGT + CRT or RRT; or REEGT certification.
