Job Description

The Assistant Director of Communications will be responsible for creating engaging content for various platforms, including social media, email marketing, and the university's website. This position requires strong writing, editing, and communication skills, as well as experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or a related field, and at least two years of experience in communications and marketing or a related field. They will also have a proven ability to work collaboratively and under short deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dynamic marketing and communication plans for SPHHS and affiliated departments and programs

• Manage and produce content for multiple social media channels

• Create social media campaigns and strategies and track channel engagement and analytics

• Prepare newsletters and other student-focused communications and outreach using email marketing software

• Develop and pitch ideas for feature stories and alumni and student profiles

• Provide graphic design support for marketing and promotional materials

• Maintain web content for the SPHHS and affiliated department/program websites

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or a related field

• At least two years of experience in communications and marketing or a related field

• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal skills

• Experience with digital marketing, social media content creation, and website design

• Ability to work collaboratively and under short deadlines

• Willingness to occasionally work nights and weekends
