This position offers direct employment with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience in setting up CNC vertical and horizontal turning lathes.
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools and thickness gauge instruments, along with their applications.
- Strong capability in interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerancing.
- Intermediate knowledge of cutting tools, boring bars, inserts, and tool holding devices related to their functions.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage frequent changes and unexpected events.
- Solid mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, geometry, and algebra necessary for fabricating critical aerospace components.
- CNC programming experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with G & L Mori Seiki, Shibaura, and Haas turning lathe equipment is a plus.
- Experience with Fanuc controls is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist operators on adjacent shifts with the loading and unloading of parts and fixtures to ensure seamless work transitions and adherence to instructions.
- Responsible for setting tools, offsets, and making simple edits as directed by the programmer.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions and potential out-of-tolerance conditions proactively.
- Facilitate communication between departments, such as Quality and Production Control, to address any quality or programming issues.
- Conduct daily preventive maintenance on machines to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
