Job Summary:

ProMedica Health System is seeking a skilled Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Procure and distribute medication orders, fill physician orders, and replenish medication kits and automated dispensing machines.
  • Prepare intravenous admixtures and other sterile preparations safely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet departmental goals and establish effective communication mechanisms.
  • Perform training and in-services for new employees and maintain a professional, helpful, and courteous relationship with staff, patients, and families.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy (or equivalent in Michigan).
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) certification.
