Overview

Catholic Health Initiatives is in search of a Board Certified/Board Eligible Clinical Anesthesia Specialist to enhance our medical team. Our healthcare facility is a comprehensive trauma center dedicated to providing exceptional medical services.

Practice Highlights:

  • No fellowship training required
  • Our anesthesia department consists of a team of skilled professionals including 8 full-time physicians and 17 certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs)
  • Single hospital coverage
  • Diverse case variety: Cardiothoracic, Pediatric, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Urology, Neurology, etc.
  • Access to modern surgical suites, endoscopy facilities, cardiac catheterization labs, and recovery areas
  • Team-based care model with physician oversight of CRNAs (except in bypass surgeries)
  • Physicians manage cardiac cases (comfort with transesophageal echocardiography is essential) and oversee labor epidural services
  • Utilization of EPIC electronic medical records

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Assess and manage a variety of medical conditions.
  • Formulate and execute detailed treatment strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and gather patient histories.

Communication:

  • Provide clear and concise medical information.

Documentation:

  • Maintain precise and current patient records.

Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
  • Perform necessary medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic assessments.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work alongside nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide consultative services to fellow healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:

  • Engage in quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
  • Analyze clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
  • Implement changes to improve patient care and safety.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
  • Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.

Qualifications

  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in the relevant medical specialty.
  • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or eligibility for licensure.

Compensation
$316.80 per hour
