Position Overview: The National Taxpayers Union is in search of a dedicated Policy and Government Affairs Manager to represent the interests of taxpayers in legislative matters. This role will primarily focus on critical areas such as taxation, oversight of the IRS, financial services, and energy/environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough analysis of federal policies.
  • Drafting correspondence, opinion pieces, and policy briefs.
  • Engaging with legislators, taxpayer organizations, and various stakeholders to advocate for taxpayer interests.
  • Potential involvement in state and local policy matters.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess three to five years of relevant experience, whether on Capitol Hill, within a government agency, or at a think tank or advocacy organization. The expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000.

Essential Skills:

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for advocating for reduced taxes and limited government spending.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate the mission of NTU.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
