About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at BMW of Chattanooga. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs efficiently and accurately.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary parts.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or requested by the customer.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Document work performed and notify service advisor of any additional work needed.
  • Supervise work of apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes and stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins.
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and shop area is neat and organized.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures and report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASE or manufacturing training.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Manual dexterity and good judgment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license.
