Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at DCS Clinical. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and well-being for our patients.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene services, including cleaning deposits and stains from teeth, detecting disease, and educating patients on oral hygiene and plaque control.
Responsibilities:- Provide dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
- Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening, feeling and visually examining gums, and using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession.
- Arrest dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
- Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drugs and oxygen supply, and directory of emergency numbers.
- Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions, providing reminders of time of next dental hygiene visit.
- Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories, charting in patient records.
- Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist Required
- CPR Certification
- Local Anesthesia and Nitrous certification
