Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Supervisor to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our perioperative department, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and manage a team of perioperative staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and service.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Fairview Health Services' standards.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the planning and coordination of perioperative services, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Patient Care and Safety
    • Ensure that patients receive high-quality, safe, and compassionate care throughout the perioperative process.
    • Collaborate with nursing and provider leaders to implement and evaluate standards of practice, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
  • Quality and Performance Improvement
    • Collect and analyze quality data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
    • Partner with clinical leaders to build an environment that advances evidence-based practice and promotes a culture of excellence.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative services, with a focus on leadership and management.
  • Certifications and Training
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
    • Ability to analyze data and implement changes to optimize efficiency and quality.
