Belton Regional Medical Center is an 80+ bed acute care facility serving southern Jackson and northern Cass counties. We are one of 10 HCA Healthcare Midwest Health System hospitals in Kansas City.

Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients with both acute and chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician
  • Medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, obtaining and analyzing blood specimens, performing patient testing, operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment
  • Providing mechanical ventilation, maintaining artificial airways, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, providing patient education, monitoring equipment and patient response to therapy

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required
  • Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
  • NBRC RRT certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Hold valid Missouri State License
  • One year of recent clinical experience preferred

Salary

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
