At Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Resource Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate unit education and tailored training for specific procedures using specialty equipment and instrumentation.
- Assist in managing and coordinating the effective scheduling of surgery among the OR suites.
- Develop strong relationships with physicians, vendors, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication in patient care.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and initiatives regarding surgery and patient safety.
- Contribute to the development of perioperative standards and guidelines, and implement and monitor perioperative initiatives that improve designated core measure compliance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Three years registered nurse experience in an operating room setting.
- Six months of previous leadership experience as a charge or coordinator.
- Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
