Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect specimens from patients according to established procedures
  • Administer oral solutions to patients as required
  • Research test/client information and verify all written and electronic orders
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport
  • Perform non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and utilizing email
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data
  • Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred in California, Nevada, and Washington
  • One year phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
  • Keyboard/data entry experience
