Join Netflix as a Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Netflix. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating automation tests for live events across various devices, running manual tests when automation is not possible, tracking defects and inconsistencies in functionality, and communicating results to upstream teams.

About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing new features to improving existing ones. You will collaborate with various engineering teams at Netflix and have the opportunity to influence and contribute to our specialized tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation tests for live events across various devices
  • Run manual tests when automation is not possible
  • Track defects and inconsistencies in functionality
  • Communicate results to upstream teams
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams at Netflix
Requirements
  • Expertise in writing code to automate tests for streaming media applications
  • Live Streaming experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Python, Typescript, JavaScript, or similar languages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on critical thinking and a testability mindset
  • Good understanding of CI/CD principles, with strong analytical skills to assess and optimize workflows and processes
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
  • Proven ability to tailor communication to a given audience
