Meat Cutter Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Brookshire Grocery Company. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for processing meat products, fulfilling special customer requests, and ensuring that our meat cases are always full and fresh.
Key Responsibilities- Meat Processing: Remove fat, tenderize, grind, and/or cut meat to the proper thickness and size.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and fulfilling special requests for meat cuts.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that our meat cases are always full and fresh by rotating and restocking products as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, assemble, and prepare machinery and equipment for operation, and examine them to ensure proper function.
- Quality Control: Check meat products for quality control and ensure that food safety standards are met.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One or more years of related experience in a meat processing or retail environment.
- Certifications: Food Handler certification required.
- Skills: Ability to safely work with sharp objects, operate and maintain department equipment, and effectively communicate with customers and partners.
As a Meat Cutter at Brookshire Grocery Company, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be continuously exposed to equipment with sharp blades or edges, extreme cold conditions, and wet, slippery, or damp conditions.
