Job Title: Construction Superintendent Multifamily

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent Multifamily to join our team at Porter Kyle Builders. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process of our multifamily projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct quality control duties and responsibilities specific to the work being performed.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
  • Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify and address safety, health, and environmental quality standards non-compliance.
  • Monitor construction progress and communicate conflicts to the project team for resolution.
  • Maintain a daily log of activities on the jobsite using software.
  • Walk all units on the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work, safety, or scheduling.
  • Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Conduct Safety Orientation Meetings and Weekly Jobsite Safety Meetings to ensure Safety expectations are communicated.
  • Perform Safety Audits and Observations as part of an Active Safety Program.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction related studies preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-years experience in on-site multifamily construction supervision/management.
  • OSHA 30-Hour required.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Fluent in English. Spanish speaking skills a plus.
  • Reside in the Phoenix Metro area. Relocation assistance not available.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules for constructability and conflict reviews specific to Multifamily construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction techniques and ability to derive the most efficient method of completing tasks.
  • Ability to create and edit the project schedule and use it as an effective planning tool.
  • Strong working knowledge of the local multifamily construction industry and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Excellent communication and partnering skills to work effectively with subcontractors, consultants, internal staff, and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and ability to adapt to company applications.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and accepted Safe Work practices for the Construction Industry.

The employee is also required to use computers, phones, and other technology on a daily basis.

Pay & Benefits:
  • Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 plus Annual Bonuses depending on experience.
