Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging machinery and equipment. Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues or hazards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
  • Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Install new machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and safety standards.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts or components used, time spent, and any observations or recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operation and coordination.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of experience in packaging machinery maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in machinery installation.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment and machinery.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy machinery parts, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Commitment to following all safety guidelines and procedures.
