WillScot, a leading provider of flexible workspace and portable storage solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team. This critical role requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety.

  • This position involves performing duties essential to setting-up units, including anchoring, block and leveling, interior and exterior seaming, VAPS installation, steps, canopies, and ramps.
  • The ideal candidate will also be responsible for additional installation and removal of skirting as needed.
  • Completing duties essential to the knock-down of buildings, including building shipping walls and securing exterior walls, separating buildings, disconnecting all utility and mate-line crossovers, securing all items for shipment, cleaning site, and removing all installations from site such as blocks, steps, anchors, ramps, abs pads and steel piers.
  • This role may involve performing service work for customer units on the road, including electrical and plumbing work.
  • Additional responsibilities include completing Work Orders and Service Orders via the Field Service Application and maintaining the proper working condition of all tools and equipment used.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to form and maintain good relationships with external and internal customers at all levels of the organization.
  • This position requires frequent travel (daily to weekly time spans) to other markets minimum of 50%.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations, especially those relevant to temporary installations.
  • Ability to ensure all electrical work is in compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Install and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in accordance with local and national codes.
  • Follow electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, and identify potential issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, providing effective and timely solutions.
  • Carpentry skills and familiarity with construction trades are essential.
  • Set-up and knockdown experience preferred.
  • Some experience with customer relationship management preferred.
  • Previous management experience or working with other trades is a plus.
  • Some knowledge of computers is necessary and good communication skills are required for dealing with customers, sales people, contractors, shop personnel and co-workers.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A current valid license and a good driving record are required.
