Job Title: Sociology Instructor

Green River College is seeking a qualified Sociology Instructor to teach introductory-level courses in the department. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching and be able to adapt teaching methods to a wide range of student backgrounds and interests.

Green River College is a diverse institution with a student body comprising approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical students, 15% Adult Basic Education students, and 3% Applied Bachelor degree students. The college has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, Washington, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw.

Position Responsibilities

The Sociology Department is accepting applications to be considered for adjunct instruction for Winter Quarter, 2024, with the potential for continued instruction in subsequent quarters. The applicant must be available to teach in-person classes on our main (Auburn) and/or Kent campuses.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Sociology
  • Successful teaching experience at the college level
  • Experience teaching Introduction to Sociology and at least one other sociology course at the undergraduate level
