As a vital member of our bar team, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our esteemed guests. Your role is essential in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional service in accordance with our beverage policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify the age of guests ordering alcoholic drinks, particularly those who appear to be 40 years old or younger.
- Foster a friendly and inviting bar environment.
- Efficiently prepare, garnish, and serve beverages to guests.
- Provide personalized service to returning guests by remembering their names and preferred drinks.
- Collaborate with the kitchen to manage food orders from guests seated at the bar.
- Become familiar with the menu to offer insightful recommendations.
- Encourage guests to try additional food or drink items when suitable.
- Maintain a tidy and organized bar space.
- Accurately process all transactions using the point-of-sale system.
- Adhere to all relevant brand standards for service excellence.
- Consistently present a neat appearance in the company-approved uniform.
- Proficient in operating the point-of-sale system, handling cash, and processing credit card transactions.
- Ability to manage challenging situations with guests calmly and effectively.
- Successfully pass the required bar validation.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with guests.
- Capable of hearing well in a lively environment.
- Physically able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. over short distances, including stairs.
