Position Overview:
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Operations Specialist comprehends the overall facility processes, including product flow, sorting, cash register operations, auctions, and dock management, while delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves processing various recyclable materials in accordance with established guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Duties:
Maintain accurate documentation related to dock operations on a daily basis.
Assist management in the effective transfer of products from delivery trucks to designated storage areas.
Monitor the compactor's capacity and operate it efficiently to optimize container changes.
Prioritize daily departmental activities based on operational needs and provide feedback to management regarding scheduling.
Support management in overseeing daily tasks assigned to Warehouse Processor I team members.
Qualifications:
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Education:
High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating computerized cash registers is necessary.
Certifications:
Forklift certification is required.
Additional Requirements:
Effective communication in English is essential; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred. Experience with heavy machinery, pallet jacks, and compactors is advantageous.
