Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our facility, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. You will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles, competency, and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
  • Administer medications or treatments as ordered
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public
  • Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
