We are currently in search of a Mechanical Assembler to join our dedicated team.

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for tasks related to the assembly and testing of all Mark-7 equipment manufactured at our facility. This role involves close collaboration with Production Management and Quality Assurance/Quality Control teams to ensure that productivity and quality targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components by putting together parts and subassemblies.
  • Interpret and understand drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Align and position components and parts, using both manual methods and fixtures.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, or specialized machinery for assembly tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tools and equipment.
  • Examine connections for proper fit and secure parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Report any assembly issues to the supervisor and seek additional resources for resolution.
  • Ensure equipment remains operational by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Assist in inventory management through cycle counts.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong safety awareness and a commitment to quality control.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency.
  • Good dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical drawings.
  • Capability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous.

Position Details:

This is a full-time role, typically requiring 40 hours per week, with standard hours from Monday to Friday. Overtime may be necessary based on production demands.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Regular use of hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, 25 pounds occasionally, and 50 pounds rarely.
  • Visual abilities must include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
