Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and document the design and development of Middleware solutions tailored to meet business and project requirements using preferred tools.
  • Implement, administer, and configure Middleware functionalities utilizing selected software and tools (e.g., Oracle SOA Middleware, Hazelcast).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production support incidents effectively.
  • Address performance and availability challenges in a highly available environment.
  • Conduct research, analysis, design, and implementation of technical solutions to fulfill current and future user needs.
  • Provide level 2 and level 3 support in resolving incidents, establishing urgency, and managing the resolution process while keeping clients informed.
  • Engage in project responsibilities including planning, work plan development, testing plan creation, and staffing.
  • Offer technical assistance on projects across the organization.
  • Ensure technical and support documentation is comprehensive and current.
  • Guide and mentor less experienced Middleware Programmer Analysts, assisting with inquiries and challenges.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

Experience:

  • 10+ years in web services, application development, and large-scale software implementations.
  • 8+ years in developing web services (SOAP/REST) and Java/J2EE application development preferred.
  • 5+ years in application development using Java & J2EE.
  • Proven experience with SOA infrastructure administration and support.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and supporting middleware tools.
  • Familiarity with relational database technologies (DB2, SQL).
  • Proficient in LINUX and Windows environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of taking ownership of projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work within standard and change management processes.
