POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Operations Supervisor is tasked with leading and mentoring a team of production staff to meet objectives while upholding exceptional quality standards. This role demands a blend of technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and effective communication to foster team achievement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate with management on workforce scheduling, efficiency metrics, operational guidelines, and output levels.

· Work alongside other team leaders and supervisors to promote cross-training initiatives; enhance employee skill sets across various functions.

· Establish operational guidelines to ensure staff proficiency and accuracy are consistently maintained.

· Coordinate with procurement, production planning, and logistics to ensure precise inventory management for all components.

· Communicate maintenance needs effectively and oversee the repair and replacement of necessary supplies.

· Act as a positive role model and mentor by demonstrating and teaching desirable skills and behaviors.

· Serve as the primary point of contact and support for team members, addressing and resolving various challenges they may face.

· Undertake additional duties as required through practical training.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

· A high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience, is required.

· A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or distribution environment with some leadership experience is necessary.

· 3-5 years in a similar setting with leadership responsibilities is preferred.

Visual Acuity

· The employee must possess close visual acuity to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer screens, extensive reading, inspecting for small defects, operating machinery, and assembling or fabricating parts at close distances.

WORKING CONDITIONS

· The employee may be exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards typical of a production environment.
