The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care within a specialized environment. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a cath lab, critical care, or cardiac nursing setting.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role, working Monday through Friday with 10-hour shifts. Day shifts will alternate between different facilities, and there are on-call responsibilities approximately one night per week and one weekend per month.
Location:
Positioned within a leading medical center, the role is integral to the Cath Lab department.
Employment Details:
Full-time status at 0.875 FTE, translating to 70 hours per pay period. Compensation is competitive, with an hourly rate of $57.44, influenced by the candidate's relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to established standards and organizational policies.
- Monitor patients to ensure a safe environment and optimize health outcomes.
- Prepare the environment and assess patients prior to procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Respond effectively to critical situations, utilizing nursing protocols for emergency treatment.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a technically advanced setting.
- Evaluate the educational needs of patients and their families, offering tailored education based on individual circumstances.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment, working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Essential Credentials:
Registered Nurse with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Education:
A graduate of an accredited nursing program is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 6 months of RN experience is necessary, or completion of a fellowship program. ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
