Responsibilities- Assist dentists at chair-side during routine and special procedures, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient treatment.
- Coordinate and perform special patient procedures, including radiographs, topical fluoride application, and vital sign measurement.
- Prepare operatory areas, set up instruments, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Escort patients to and from the operatory, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist dentists with suctioning, reflecting tissues, passing instruments, and handling dental materials and medicaments.
- Develop and file dental x-rays, maintain developing equipment, and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
- Perform related duties as required, including chairside dental assisting and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene, required.
- Current License to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist in New York State, required.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) by the Dental Assisting National Board, preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
The salary range for this position is $45-$80/hour. Northwell Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
