Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team at Helix Electric. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for performing general labor tasks to support our production-driven team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare work areas for installation of various equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, using tools such as brooms, digging equipment, and hand tools.
  • Perform tasks in a professional manner, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Secure and lock up equipment after use.
  • Advise immediate supervisors of any safety or job-related problems.
  • Work from various types of ladders, including step ladders, "A" frame ladders, and extension ladders.
  • Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required, including night shifts.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in all elements, depending on job location and time of year.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves) at all times, and respirator when required.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, and lifting heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
