Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical role in the success of Communities In Schools of Georgia, overseeing the organization's financial, accounting, and administrative functions. Reporting to the President, the CFO is responsible for implementing and monitoring financial policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Management: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure the organization's financial stability and growth.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors, management team, and other stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Accounting and Auditing: Oversee the accounting and auditing functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Human Resources and Administration: Provide guidance and support to the HR and administrative teams, ensuring effective management of personnel and organizational resources.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, insurance providers, and other business partners, to ensure the organization's financial well-being.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of financial management experience, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification required.
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: $120,000 - $155,000 per year.
