Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Operations Specialist at Sysco, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient replenishment of selection slots during selection operations. Your primary responsibility will be to rotate product in a FIFO (first-in-first-out) manner, ensuring that inventory is accurately managed and that products are delivered to customers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Replenish selection slots during selection operations to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Rotate product in a FIFO manner to ensure that the oldest products are sold or used first.
  • Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the work area to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to support the efficient operation of the warehouse.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least six months of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably with experience operating a stand-up forklift and riding pallet jack.
  • Basic knowledge of fresh produce and inventory management principles preferred.
  • Experience with replenishment, cycling of product, RF scanners, and other returns-related functions preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to perform work assignments at an acceptable productivity level.
  • Able to effectively communicate and interact with others in a professional manner.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn the body, and walk.
  • Lift and move cases ranging in weight up to 75 lbs continuously to and from heights ranging from floor to knee, waist, shoulder, and overhead.
  • Use hands and fingers to peel and stick labels on cases.
  • Handle and feel objects and/or equipment controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Must have the ability to talk and hear; must be able to hear warning horns on moving machinery and equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close and distance vision, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy, and strength to successfully perform the position.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work in confined spaces.
