Ochsner Health System is actively recruiting skilled Medical Oncologists and Hematologists to join their team of healthcare professionals at the Ochsner Cancer Institute and Gayle & Tom Benson Cancer Center in New Orleans.

Job Overview

The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work with a highly experienced group of 35 staff physicians, expanding practices in Baton Rouge, Kenner, and New Orleans, including the North Shore and West Bank regions. Additionally, the position will involve practicing at Ochsner North Shore in Covington and at Southwest General Hospital in McComb, Mississippi.

Salary and Benefits

The competitive salary starts at $350,000, based on location, experience, and training. The company also offers sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance.

About the Role

Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in hematology and oncology. They will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, participating in clinical research studies, teaching fellows and residents, and contributing to the development of the program. Subspecialty interest is encouraged but not required.

Requirements and Qualifications

A Louisiana and Mississippi medical license is required for the North Shore position. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
