We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and a deep understanding of the complex tax landscape in Latin America.

About the Role:

  • Responsibilities include tax compliance for Chile, Peru, and Colombia, including filing accurate returns and meeting internal and jurisdictional tax deadlines.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for all income tax accounting routines, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • They will prepare US GAAP tax reporting, provision, and contingency through OneSource (TaxStream tool).
  • The role requires preparation of tax projections, including ETR, deferred taxes, and cash tax flow.
  • The candidate will be responsible for transferring pricing documentation and collaborating with local finance teams on profitability analysis.
  • They will ensure SOX compliance in relation to reporting controls by supporting testing and documentation processes.
  • The Tax Manager will work closely with the Senior Tax Manager to resolve tax requirements and collaborate with finance and business teams.
  • Identifying potential tax compliance issues, performing research, and making recommendations to prevent and resolve tax issues is also a key responsibility.
  • The successful candidate will look for technological initiatives to create effective calculations and financial models to support tax returns and provisions, dashboards, and analytics.
  • They will provide tax support for local business and advise business partners on relevant changes in tax legislations.
  • A strong network across global tax, finance, customs, treasury, and legal is essential for this role.
  • Collaboration with operations team, legal, country controllers, and other stakeholders is required.
  • The Tax Manager may work with outside advisors to support certain tax positions.
  • Staying current with changes in tax laws that could impact the company's operations is critical.

Main Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or a related field plus 8 years of combined tax experience in public accounting or a large multinational company with a corporate tax department or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience with tax rules in Latin American countries.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of LATAM business practices and tax complexities.
  • Proficient in English & Spanish skills (written, reading, and speaking).
  • Exposure to a large ERP system, in particular SAP and OneSource/Tax stream would be advantageous.
  • Advanced skills in Excel functions (pivot tables, macros, filters, etc.).
  • Good understanding of accounting and tax principles; prior tax return preparation experience a plus.
  • Team players with good collaborative skills are confident in communicating with others and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to deliver accurate documentation and task completion.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Open to receive/provide feedback and keen on continuing development within the Organization.
  • Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations to come up with possible solutions to be discussed with the Senior Manager.
  • Navigate the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements.

Compensation and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
