Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Technician to join our team at WGNSTAR. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our chemical services and process chemical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to install, start up, operate, maintain, and quality control all chemical services and process chemical systems.
  • Ensure a continuous supply of high-quality chemicals for our various areas and respond promptly to system failures to restore chemical services as soon as possible.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including PPE, CoHE (lockout/tagout), and chemical safety.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce potential hazards and perform audits to submit good catches.
  • Make recommendations for preventative maintenance and other non-routine issues, collaborating with area leaders to create personal performance and development goals.
  • Communicate changes made to equipment and follow business rules for change control, proactively communicating issues that could cause Fab impact, defects, tool restrictions, or lost moves.
  • Support or manage area projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope and schedule, using a systematic project management methodology to develop, prioritize, and manage projects.
  • Support and monitor area processes, addressing and escalating issues as needed.
  • Monitor equipment to resolve issues and maximize system stability.
  • Drive a culture of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including TPM metrics, CIP items, MTAGs, and procedures.
  • Assist with installation, modification, and removal of facilities equipment.
  • Complete all assigned PMs and work orders in a timely and thorough manner.
Requirements
  • Intermediate PC skills, including familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to handle basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to be respiratory certified, with proven time management, organization, critical thinking, and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Prior chemical handling or chemical distribution experience.
Physical Effort/Activities

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, and have the ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds.
