Join Our Team Today

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Advocate to join our team at American Addiction Centers. As a Treatment Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting patients on their journey towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming new patients and assisting with orientation of programming schedules and rules.
  • Conducting patient belongings searches when new patients are admitted.
  • Completing rounds and security checks.
  • Participating in coordination of patient's daily schedule including treatment meetings, behavior interventions, and overall general observation of behavior and level of participation.
  • Providing support and encouragement to patients.
  • Supporting and encouraging patient participation in group, individual, and family counseling services.
  • Supporting clinical services of patients as assigned by clinical manager.
  • Participating in weekly treatment team meeting and program staff meetings.
  • Ensuring that all documentation necessary meet contract, licensure, accreditation and standards for services in a timely manner following the AAC's documentation policy guidelines.
  • Communicating efficiently with other departments to ensure the best care for patients.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Behavioral Sciences required (social sciences, human services, counseling or psychology).
  • State recognized IC&RC alcohol and drug certification required (or within six months of completing certification).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral healthcare field.
  • Knowledge of utilizing electronic health record software and documentation.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret written information, type documentation, present information to groups and participate in meetings.
  • Working knowledge of Google Products.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
  • Valid driver license and insurable driving record (If driving a company vehicle or if driving personal vehicle for company business).
