Job Summary:
The Dietary Technician provides support to the Food Service department at Carle Foundation Hospital. This role involves processing patient and guest food orders, collecting and calculating calorie counts, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process patient and guest food orders in the Dining Service computer
- Collect, post, and calculate calorie counts
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Assist with training new diet techs
- Deliver patient and guest trays as needed
Requirements:
- Food Handler Certification required within 30 days
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of nutrition and/or modified diets preferred
Work Environment:
This role is based at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL, and requires variable shifts and weekend/holiday work.
