Job Title: Winder - Large Power Transformers

We are seeking a skilled Winder - Large Power Transformers to join our team at a leading manufacturer of power transformers in the Canonsburg area.

Job Summary:

The Winder - Large Power Transformers will be responsible for winding different types of coils, including helical windings or disc windings for large power transformers. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wind coils for large power transformers using horizontal or vertical winding machines, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work plans to ensure accurate coil winding.
  • Perform quality inspections and measurements to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of technical instructions for winding procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training or experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the winding process for transformers.
  • Ability to use math, read and interpret sophisticated drawings, and perform complex measurements.
  • Experience in an industrial setting, construction, or mechanical background.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Swing shift hours are Monday – Friday 7a - 3:30p & 3:30p - 12a.
  • Must be available to pass background check and drug test.
