We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex issues with vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Inspections and Reporting: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment, and document all work performed on work orders.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain and repair tools and equipment as needed to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair; or 2-year degree in a related field and 1+ year of experience.
- Certifications: ASE certifications in automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks; 609 HVAC certification; and other relevant certifications preferred.
