About Your Team:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will join the Enterprise Architecture team, focusing on the availability, scalability, and dependability of our systems and applications.
Your Responsibilities at IBKR:
- Develop and assess code, create documentation and capacity strategies, and execute proof-of-concept projects for new technologies.
- Design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines to guarantee efficient and reliable build and release workflows.
- Act as an escalation point for service incidents as part of an on-call rotation.
- Build and manage infrastructure-as-code utilizing tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Guide junior engineers and offer technical mentorship.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related STEM field.
- 5+ years of experience with Linux/Unix systems and networking principles.
- 5+ years of programming experience.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience in a highly regulated environment such as healthcare or finance.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Background in application software development.
