Surgical Technologist

Job Summary

Ascension is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Mequon, WI. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Your expertise will be essential in preparing the operating suite, handling instruments, and assisting surgeons during surgery.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures
Prepare the operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies
Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery
Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients
Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instrument counts throughout procedures

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required
American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
