Central Mississippi Facility Requires a Highly Skilled GI In-House Hospitalist Physician
Dates: March to December 2025 (on call until 7am)
This is a high-volume, busy assignment with scheduled procedures during weekdays (10-12 procedures, maxed at 15) and an average of 6-15 consults per day. The candidate will be supported by two NPs who take first call, see new consults, and complete daily patient rounding while the GI physician performs procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full scope of bread-and-butter GI coverage
- ERCP/EUS is strongly preferred but not required
- 24-hour call daily as a GI Hospitalist
The selected candidate must have:
- Active Mississippi license (Jackson and Coker can assist via IMLC for LOQ candidates)
- Board Certification or Eligibility required
Scheduling Details:
This role requires working weekday shifts (7am-7pm Monday-Friday), weekend shifts (8am-5pm Saturday-Sunday), and being on call starting Monday at 7AM through the following Monday at 7AM.
Support Staff:
A large in-house Hospitalist team (24/7), full anesthesia support 24/7, and two NPs available 24/7.
