Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at Novant Health in Wilmington, North Carolina. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

About the Job
This is a full-time position with a 0.9 FTE, working 72 hours per two weeks on a 12-hour day shift from 7am to 7pm. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Med-Surg, step-down, or ICU nursing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish personalized relationships with patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based practice to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Accept responsibility for management and provision of care in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Emphasize diversity and inclusion to ensure a safe and respectful patient environment.
  • Deliver exceptional patient experience in every dimension, every time.

Requirements
  • A graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • A current valid North Carolina nursing license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • One year of acute nursing experience.

Benefits
Novant Health offers a competitive salary range of $84,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 and a relocation bonus of $7,500.
