Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team at Ascension St. John Medical Center. As a Med Surg Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
