Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Project Manager to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for managing new or rehabilitation projects on bridges, walls, sign structures, and other transportation-related infrastructure in MN and across the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project scope and fee quotations, and assist in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
  • Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Assist with client project scoping and contract negotiations.
  • Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
  • Implement the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
  • Lead the development and execution of the project management plan, and supervise and mentor team members to achieve overall project objectives.
  • Coordinate with managers on project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff.
  • Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for strategic and mini-mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
