LPN - Shep 3 North Long-Term Care Specialist

The LPN I is a vital member of the care team, delivering high-quality care that is compassionate, consistent, and reliable for patients, families, and units within The University of Vermont Health Network.
As a key contributor, the incumbent provides technical nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness, under the direction of a provider or RN. This role involves performing clinical and administrative health care support services to patients and families, according to knowledge, ability, and duties assigned.
Requirements- Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
- Long-term care experience is preferred.
- An LPN with less than two years of LPN experience, and less than 1 year of UVMMC employment, or an LPN with two or more years of LPN experience, and less than 6 months of UVMMC employment, and does not meet criteria to become an LPN II.
Shep 3 North is an alternative care unit that provides care to 18-20 long-term care patients awaiting placement. The unit is designed to provide a consistent and reliable environment, similar to a long-term care facility.
